Born in New Jersey, Demitri Sgourakis studied at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, attending their Art & Architecture program in England and their French Costume & Design school in Paris.

After an apprenticeship with legendary decorator Bette Baer, Demitri was relocated to Los Angeles to become Design Director for Kreiss Home Furnishings before founding Demitri Christian Interior Design, Inc.
Demitri Sgourakis works globally and is best known for his modern approach to eclectic interiors. His eye for fashion-forward style combined with his deep knowledge and appreciation for the historical roots of design, resulting in fresh yet classic creations.
Specializing in residential, boutique hospitality, commercial, and real estate investment properties its interiors reflect its beliefs and values.
Demitri’s respect for quality, timeless tradition, and attention to detail are always present in all of his work. The major goal for Demititri is to create chic spaces where the tastes of his clients with interests in the industry will reign.
Beyond that, this designer also has a podcast- Matters of Design. During each one-hour show, Demitri interviews leading figures in the world of design. Be them furniture designer, interior designer film and television production designer…there are several episodes available to listen to.
