Born in South Africa, her career started really early, at only 16, when she was asked to remodel the kitchen of a friend’s family; after that first assignment, she began her self-taught interior design career that nowadays counts a lot of celebrity names as clients and various international projects. Other than an entrepreneur, she also has been one of the dragons in the BBC2 series of Dragons Den and she has founded Kelly Hoppen Design School, thanks to the over 40 years of experience and expertise.

Her design company, prominent for providing the right “Kelly Hoppen look” for every kind of project, has been busy in a lot of residential, hospitality, and commercial projects, such as the Celebrity Edge cruise ship for Celebrity Cruises, a collaboration with Disney to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary, a luxury residential tower “One Park Taipei”, and LUX* Grand Gaube Hotel, in Mauritius.
