Jump Studios: A Populous company once the most recent acquisition of Populous, the world-leading sport and entertainment architecture and design company based in London, announce a strategic partnership with Jump Studios.
Annie Hellweg, as a spokesperson for the company, announces that a brand will be known as Jump Studios: A Populous Company!
Both brands: Jump and Populous will continue to operate with separate practices, but when necessary will join molds. Hellweg said that Jump will assist Populous’s London office with regards to interior design work but also in the operations of the United States.
Jump was founded in 2001 and its focus is on retail, workspace, exhibition, brand experience, restaurant and bar design. Worked with major clients like Google Inc. and Nike Inc.
For Jump, joining Populous will allow a brand to expand its geographic reach and the scale of its projects. This change will allow Populous, which is known for its sporting work, to expand the brand to new markets and serve more customers.
In a statement, Populous senior director Nick Reynolds said, “We have long admired Jump Studios’ work and we believe this is a strategic opportunity for both companies and, most importantly, for our customers.”
“With shared ethics and collaborative processes, together Populous and Jump Studios will create great places and experiences for a wide range of customers.”
Populous is moving its facilities to a new office near Country Club Plaza in the fall where it will continue to build new practice areas. The company recently started to branch out when an agreement stipulated the company’s focus only on sports projects that expired in 2014.
