PATRICIA URQUIOLA BEST PROJECTS

Today, we are talking about Spanish architect and interior designers Patricia Urquiola. Her unique style is due to her dual creative citizenship. Born in Oviedo, she studied architecture in Madrid before moving to Milan and graduating from the Politecnico in 1989. For that reason, INSPLOSION wants to celebrate her bravura with PATRICIA URQUIOLA BEST PROJECTS.

“I’m not interested in the old meanings of what a bed, a sofa, or a bath is. I am only concerned with new and more sophisticated ways of living”, she said.

Her design philosophy is based on the reinvention of outdated products with a flexible and adaptable flair. Furthermore, her design projects are called “feminine and sensual”. As a result, she had various collaborations with renowned artists and designers, such as Achille Castiglioni, Vico Magistretti, Piero Lissoni, and various museum exhibitions. Do you feel curious? Let’s begin!

SO/ BERLIN DAS STUE HOTEL

The SO/ Berlin Das Stue Hotel has private zoo access to the adjacent Berlin zoo and Patricia Urquiola couldn’t miss the opportunity to get her creative wild.
