Menu’s Newest Furniture Showroom designed by Norm Architects
Norm Architects designed a new furniture showroom for Scandinavian furniture brand, Menu, that also works as a functional office space.
Studio Norm Architects managed to create a stunning furniture showroom in Copenhagen, for minimal Danish brand Menu, which also works as a functional workspace.
The 700-square-metre furniture showroom is located near to the city’s harbour, in the Nordhavn neighborhood, and was designed to be an office space where co-working and knowledge sharing, take place in the most comfortable way possible.
Danish firm explains that their idea was to create a community around Menu Space where creative thinkers can work, meet and share their stories and ideas. For that, Norm Architects took advantage of the space’s raw and industrial surroundings.
Materials such as concrete and steel where one of the strongest inspirations for this interior design project, since the use of these durable materials provide a stunning contrast to the objects and designs that are spread throughout the space.
A system of sheer curtains divides up the space, creating temporary areas of privacy for meetings or quiet work when needed.
The furniture showroom includes several of Menu‘s accessories, that are displayed in wood, marble and mirror displays. The furniture and lighting are dispersed through out the dining, meeting and breakout spaces.
“The idea is to keep Menu Space moving and ever-changing,” said Menu design director Joachim Kornbæk Engell-Hansen.
“To have friends of the house and people we admire stop by on a regular basis and change the interior layout however they see fit – ensuring that we always have a vibrant, creative, lively space that continues to inspire our neighbours, visitors, friends, clients and designers.”
