Baptiste Bohu Designs French Styled luxury apartment in Shanghai
Project “Top of The City” by renewed designer Baptiste Bohu features art deco inspired aesthetics and striking Portuguese furnishings.
French Designer Baptiste Bohu has a unique style that has been particularly famous within A-list clientele. His work includes a wide variety of projects including Residential and Commercial designs which are mainly inspired by Art Deco, French classicism and contemporary aesthetic.
Recently the designer was responsible for the interior of a glamorous luxury apartment in Shanghai. The challenge was to create a modern French styled apartment with lengthened areas and communal spaces for a young entrepreneur couple.
The entrance features an elegant black and white marble floor that is followed by French style moldings in different shades of grey. It also has a striking blue console and a painting of the couple’s dog which was commissioned by New-York based artist, Koller.
An elegant Cygnus Display by Portuguese brand Brabbu is placed in the corridor of the apartment, giving a passionate and unique artsy vibe to the space. The luxury item is followed by an exclusive De Gournay hand-painted wallpaper with pink flamingos. Out of curiosity, this mid-century art piece was inspired by one of the brightest constellations in the sky, making it quite singular.
The living room design features an ethanol Mondrian-styled fireplace which is patterned in black and grey stainless steel. The interior design is highlighted by a remarkable fixture from the industrial lighting brand, DelightFULL, the Botti Chandelier.
A large library surrounded by beautiful sconces connects the dining room space.
The kitchen features French typed moldings and has a vivid yellow cabinet that is followed by a marble counter top.
The bedroom is filled with the designer’s signature black and white color pallet and patterns. To complement the interior decor, Baptiste Bohu opt for striking Japanese art pieces.
The master bathroom sink was customized in one elegant piece of stone.
Other features include a handcrafted mirror which contains storage drawers and well appointed technological advancements.
